I find the gym and timetable ok. Nothing extraordinary. My only concern is misleading advertisement of a program coaching zone. I am currently doing this program. It is an excellent and challenging program in itself but being promoted labelled and promoted as PT whileS it is GT is group training.PT is specific to needs, requirements and challenges of an individual while these are more of predesigned classes with only personal aspect of heart rate monitoring and zone matching. The trainers are doing good job while engaging everyone in this group training yet it cannot match a PT session. So Genesis ... please stop labelling it as PT because it is not .
Do not go here!! Contracts are extremely dodgy. Went there for a free trial and was told free trials are only for members, however if I did not like it I could cancel membership before they charge. They forgot to mention the $250 cancellation fee. Dont waste your time here, go to Derrimuts in Pakenham!!
Clean, always vacant machines, friendly staff and a womens only room! I do wish there were more yoga classes however - or if they were at least not in the children's creche. It's hard to relax in there with the bright lights and colourful toys.
Definitely up the anti here in the past few weeks. A more happy vibe. Unfortunately I can't give a 6 star. There maybe things that might not seem right, just being more open minded and positive always helps when turning up to do your workout. The recent football jumper day, looked awesome within the venue. 24 hour access and close to the main Township of Berwick.The PT instructors show true professionalism and would highly recommend any of them! The staff and most members are always friendly and courteous.The venue is a great asset to locals wanting to improve their health and well-being. Having classes available, definitely a bonus for this gym. I believe that there is a childcare room there, not sure what times are available. Special group 6 week challenges ongoing during the year.They are looking at another group class challenge session in 2018/2019Update on the new renovations at Genesis Berwick. New equipment and set looking good. New locker system is looking good. Just need to bring your own padlock to secure your valuables and personal belongings. They still have some old equipment that was not repaired and still find the lack of pins to use on pinned cable weight machines. The new layout is definitely workable to train with otherwise. Hopefully under the new management, who is has great communications skills and is always approachable! Things will be rectified more efficiently for the members. Currently, I am enjoying the opportunity to train locally and still would recommend this gym.
Definitely among the more expensive gyms, but it's large, has a great range of equipment and classes and spaces to workout in. There is a ladies only room which can be good. The cardio area downstairs is huge and there's plenty of free and machine weights. The class instructors are very friendly and helpful, along with motivating. Some of the equipment could probably use some attention, but for the most part it is clean and easy to use.
